The general director of the European Union, Manuel Pleguezelo, visited the city of Las Torres de Cotillas on Monday morning, July 9, where he was received by the mayor, Isabel María Zapata.
During his visit, Pleguezuelo informed the local authorities about the most interesting European subsidies on the municipality.
"One of the sections that we have been interested in is the one that refers to twinning between cities, since we have a program of this type underway with the French town of Firminy and it can serve us to stimulate and encourage the activities to be developed in this project ", reports Zapata.
In addition, the meeting also dealt with other European grants of cultural and educational scope, such as the 'Erasmus Plus' program.
"Now we have to work on those proposals to present them before the end of next September, in order to improve those initiatives in which we work", explains the Councilor for Culture and Education, Pedro Cabrera, who was also present at this meeting.
