The 'Cervantes' school of Las Torres de Cotillas already hosts the school of summer conciliation organized by the Department of Equality and serving 212 children in the municipality.
In it, the young participants - from 3 to 12 years old - enjoy outdoor sports and classroom activities, where all kinds of painting, theater, games, dance, reading and English workshops are framed.
An initiative that on Tuesday, July 17, received the visit of the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, and the general director of Women and Equality of Opportunities, Alicia Barquero.
This school, which will end on August 30, has a schedule of 7:30 to 14:00 hours without a lunch and until 4:00 pm if this service is used.
"The school of summer conciliation is carried out jointly with the summer school of Social Services and in this edition 60 places have been subsidized", explains the Councilor for Social Services, María Dolores Sánchez, who also participated in the visit and who reports that Both initiatives are subsidized by the General Directorate for Women and Equal Opportunities.
Work and family life
"As every year, this activity seeks to facilitate the reconciliation of work and family life, so that also on holiday people who work outside the home or perform occupational training have a resource to achieve it," says Zapata, who recalls that it is also useful for those people with family responsibilities who are looking for a job.
