The Media Legua de Las Torres de Cotillas is already immersed in the celebration of its 2018 patron saint festival in honor of San Francisco de Asís.

Some festivities that began last Sunday, September 30 with a day of neighborhood coexistence, with food, children's activities, etc., and that continued yesterday, October 2, with the traditional putting of paper and flags, an activity that was enlivened with music and beer.

The festive program proposes today, Wednesday, October 3, a series of children's activities organized by the cultural association 'Media Legua' (5:30 pm), such as gymkhana, drawings, etc.

In addition, at 9:00 a pilgrimage will be held, leaving from the Hermitage and arriving at Mar del Norte street.

For tomorrow, Thursday, October 4, two activities are planned: a children's tournament (5:30 pm) organized by the cultural association 'Media Legua';

and a refreshment for the neighbors entertained with music (21 hours).

More activities

At the weekend festive proposals will intensify.

On Friday, October 5, the night will be very lively: first it will be the turn of boys and girls who will star in the popular night of dances (21 hours);

then it will play the most traditional music with the night of the copla (23 hours);

and to end the mobile phone and crumbs (1 hour).

On Saturday October 6 will start early with the circuit of bicicross (9 hours) organized by 'Lagarto' and 'Excaycon Hnos. Sánchez'.

In the afternoon, the imagination, laughter and fantasy of the parade of floats will arrive (18 hours).

And at night there will continue to be a party with an entertaining musical show (23:30 hours).

To conclude the festivities, the Media Legua Torrena proposes a very lively closing day on Sunday, October 7.

At 12 noon a mass will be celebrated in honor of the patron, San Francisco de Asís;

at 4:00 a funny tape race will take place;

At 5:00 pm, the traditional match between single and married will be played;

at 8:30 pm the neighbors will accompany in procession to San Francisco de Asís through the streets of the district;

and at 10 p.m., a large fireworks castle will be launched as a festive finale.
