The poster for the children's procession of Holy Week 2019 will come out of a drawing contest for children (04/01/2019)

The Cabildo Superior de Cofradías of Las Torres de Cotillas has organized for next Sunday, January 13, a day of children's coexistence in the Young Artists Center of the municipality.

A date in which, in addition, a drawing contest will be held to choose the image that will illustrate the poster announcing the children's procession of Holy Week 2019, a parade that is already in its third year of operation.

Directed to children and young people up to 16 years of age, this contest -whose jury will be chaired by the mayor of Torrena, Isabel María Zapata- will value the creativity of the youngest ones when it comes to representing the titular image of the Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of the Flagellation.

To participate in this contest, the interested parties must register in the Cabildo, in any of the eight guilds that comprise it or in the educational centers of the municipality.

"The morning will be very fun for all attendees, who will also have free recreational and educational activities," says the councilor.

A parade that grows

The children's procession of Semana Santa Torrena, focused on children under 16 years, has output from the church of Our Lady of Salceda and runs through the streets Mayor, Mula, Campo, Calvillo and Mayor to return to their point of origin.

"This parade is booming every year with large doses of participation and enthusiasm of children who star in an event capable of awakening love for one of the most multitudinous and unique hallmarks of our municipality," explains the president of the Cabildo, Juan José Ruiz.
