To this end, Las Torres de Cotillas has been successful, with more than 6 million euros to implement the Strategy for Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development-EDUSI and financed for the most part with European FEDER Funds.

That is the way of progress that Las Torres de Cotillas deserves.

But if we want a Municipal Strategic Plan of these characteristics to have a real spirit to last and last for many years, and have a brave, realistic perspective, adapted to the Torrena identity, at street level, in short, it is necessary to follow implementing a determined and intense process of citizen participation, which are the neighbors and local social, economic and political agents who take an active part by enriching the proposals with their particular contributions.

For this purpose, a strategic plan such as "Come and stay 2025" should be correct when designing as an open base document all the time it takes to consult and receive proposals and improvements from the broadest spirit of consensus, agreement or dialogue before adopting the final decisions, prioritizing, deciding and taking a seated and sensible path in that aspect.

The setting up of sectoral tables for technical analysis, telematic channels of consultation and participation, presentations to associations of neighborhood, social, commercial, cultural, sports, ... are other tools that are arbitrated to carry to a good port this bet of modernity of Las Torres de Cotillas.

And is that all citizens are able to participate as we all have the right and responsibility to mark, to decide our own future.

In this sense, the pioneering experience of the Participatory Budgets launched in this Legislature and which respond to genuine democracy, which corresponds to the citizens in the first person, is a notorious step.

In this way, it will be our path to take in the most immediate future, in decades, if possible, because what we should not doubt is that every Municipal Strategic Plan must be a living, flexible project, responding to the challenges of every crucial juncture, a useful tool in this suggestive and challenging twenty-first century.
