The City of Las Torres de Cotillas has definitively approved the partial plan and action program of the UZS-AE12 sector of the Municipal General Plan for Urban Planning (PGMOU).
This plan affects an industrial zone to which the Golden Foods canner will move its activity, which currently has its main facilities on Ricardo Montes Avenue in the municipality.
This approval has the approval of the Ministry of Environment and the Confederación Hidrográfica del Segura (CHS), among other bodies.
The UZS-AE12 sector is located next to the road of Mula and will receive the arrival in phases of this great food company from Murcia, which already has a logistics center of more than 50,000 m2 built with the initial approval of the plan.
Golden Foods manufactures, imports and exports different food products and plastic containers for more than 30 years, both with its own brand and as the white label of large European distribution chains.
Fifth industrial core
This measure was approved at the municipal level on April 29 and will involve the complete development of this new industrial estate, which will be added to others already active in the town.
An important reinforcement to the industrial activity of the municipality, which is currently the fifth industrial center of the Region of Murcia.
In fact, Las Torres de Cotillas develops its activity very consolidated companies in their respective sectors nationally and internationally, such as Crown, Grupo Fuentes, Fripozo, Linasa, Grifols or Consum, and soon will also Golosinas Fini.
