The residents of La Loma are already having fun with their parties in honor of San Joaquin (26/07/2019)

The hamlet of La Loma de Las Torres de Cotillas has already begun to enjoy the program of events of the 2019 festivities celebrated in honor of San Joaquin.

Yesterday, Thursday, July 25, in the late afternoon, these festivities started with games and mats for the little ones, followed by a bingo with many gifts and surprises, a cold dinner and a mobile disc.

"There are four days to enjoy the neighborhood coexistence, to leave the routine of the whole year and to have a good time in a healthy and lively way with varied activities for the whole family," said the councilor for Neighborhoods and Pedanías, Marian Fernández Fernández, who attended yesterday's evening and from whose area these celebrations are organized whose events are held in the old schools of La Loma.

Today Friday, July 26, onomastic of the patron, will be repeated children's games and mats (20 hours) as an aperitif to the First Night of Brasa and Zurra (21 hours) that will be enlivened by the performance of the Caramelo group (22 hours) and a mobile disk and a great foam party (00 hours).

The DaKiTu batucada will liven up the parade (19:30 hours) with which the events will open tomorrow, Saturday, July 27, a parade that will depart from the Hermitage of the district.

At 9:30 pm a cold dinner is scheduled, which will be followed by the music magazine (10:30 pm) that will be offered by Lola Montiel and a masterclass from the local association Brodguay, which will offer cotton and popcorn to the attendees.

The last holiday will be Sunday July 28 and will start with Bicycle Day, which will depart at 10 am from the Hermitage.

At its conclusion it will be the turn of a great water festival for everyone (12 hours), after which a tasting of paella (13 hours) will take place.

As a climax, at 20:30 hours an orchard will be celebrated in honor of the patron, which will then be taken in procession through the streets of La Loma.

The final touch will be a chocolate churros tasting and a fireworks castle.
