A municipality at all times is the showcase of the neighbors who inhabit it.
A reflection of their concerns, of their vitalism, of their character, of their civic commitment, of their commitment to society, of their supportive soul, ... Las Torres de Cotillas has among its values ​​of human community a well-structured associative fabric , strong and organized through its nearly two hundred groups present in the daily life of the population.
We speak of cultural, social, sports, recreational, neighborhood, ... entities that make up a first-class and essential heritage for the municipality and without whose collaboration the design of a desirable city would not come true.
It is an honor for this town to have a social conglomerate of such caliber and dynamism that day by day generates proposals for Las Torres de Cotillas to continue advancing at a good pace in the framework of a constant improvement of its welfare levels.
And simultaneously it represents a duty for our city council to promote these lines of communication and synergy with local associations.
But, in addition to overcoming the declarations of programmatic principles and objectives and the generation of municipal regulations - call them Ordinances and Regulations, mostly -, in the reality of the Torreño groups, success, management and obtaining results are demonstrated on foot.
Our politicians have a clear mandate granted by the free vote of the neighbors and is to listen again and again the opinions, points of view, demands, claims and complaints of citizens.
It is proven that issues that bear fruit thanks to the honest and loyal collaboration between the town hall and the neighbors, which are put together by joining efforts, will and decision, are a guarantee of success.
This shared management has been clearly seen in terms of a good balance of results in the contributions made by citizens regarding urban planning improvements, works, services, in the commercial, cultural, sports, leisure, festive, entertainment impulse of actions in matters such as the generation of economic development, investment, employment, ... And there are pioneering initiatives the model of Participatory Budgets or contributions to both the Strategic Plan "Las Torres de Cotillas 2025-Come and stay" as to the EDUSI "Las Torres Conecta".
It is the torreños and torreñas who best know their town, the needs of each street, neighborhood and district, ... That is why the participation of the neighbors in the design and generation of future policies, progress and push towards a future future clear and with guarantees.
Because it is about going further into the quality of life of citizens with the expression of small but transcendental efforts - the great policy of small things - that reflect that the opinion of the neighbors for the solution of their own needs is unquestionable and First level of attention.
This way of governing, of managing the destinies of a municipality should be the answer to a sincere approach to commitment starting with the first participation of citizens in the consideration of projects, services, claims that concern them directly and first person.
An attitude that our city council should continue to practice in the genesis of endless investment plans in economic, technical and human resources where the hand of active local associations must always be taken into account.
Our Consistory must continue giving voice to those neighbors and entities that know in depth the reality of Las Torres de Cotillas so that both citizens and Local Corporation continue to advocate for the best possible municipality, the municipality we want and that we dream of as an aspiration collective progress.
Because torreños and torreñas are the true architects of the town.
