Tomorrow, Thursday, September 19, the School of Training and Innovation of the Public Administration of the Region of Murcia (EFIAP) and the City Council of Las Torres de Cotillas begin a training action on control of industrial wastewater discharges to the sewer system.

Attendees will be primarily municipal environmental technical staff, municipal environmental inspector personnel, administrative staff of said services, local police and technical personnel and environmental inspector of the regional administration.

Divided into four face-to-face days from 9 am to 2 pm (the rest will be on September 24 and October 1 and 15), this action will be given by ESAMUR staff in the neighborhood center of La Florida on the first day and the rest in the multipurpose center of Los Pulpites.

In addition, the second and third day will also feature classes from 16 to 18 hours, plus 5 hours of student work.

This initiative is coordinated by the Municipal Internal Planning and Communication Unit and is included in the EFIAP 2019 Inter-Administrative Training Program.

Various objectives

Its purpose will be to address how to carry out a protocol for the control of spills, to know the current regulations, to know how to make reports proposed to initiate dossiers on the matter and to know new technologies for corrective measures of industrial spills for the control of activities.

In addition, attendees will learn to correctly interpret a discharge authorization, its need or not for modification, the taking of samples and advanced control of spills, and the management of disciplinary proceedings distinguishing between administrative offenses and criminal offenses.

For this, the classes will be taught from a practical point of view, showing real examples, presenting practical cases and attending to the students' technical consultations.

In addition, sampling practices and a visit to a wastewater treatment plant will be carried out.

This training action is held in Las Torres de Cotillas to enhance and improve the training of municipal employees and employees, a key criterion in an excellent organization, being a priority of the City Council for the continuous improvement of the services provided to citizens.
