Tomorrow, Saturday, November 30 (8:30 p.m.) the municipal radio station Onda 92 - Radio Cotillas will deliver the 'Torreños-as del Year' awards at the Casa de la Cultura 'Pedro Serna' in Las Torres de Cotillas, in an evening that will feature with the performance of the singer Torreña Jacqueline.

This is the 15th edition of these awards, which once again with the collaboration of the City of Torreño will distinguish six outstanding Torreños for their personal, professional or business career.

Francisco Juan Giménez Sánchez, president of the Las Torres Commercial Area between 2011 and 2019, will be recognized in the category of 'Associationism' for his deep human values ​​and his enormous social commitment, fighting for just causes and against injustices, promoting associationism in our town.

For its part, the company 'Grupo Logística Fuentes' will be the distinguished one in the category of 'Companies', in recognition of the outstanding personal and professional career of Agustín Fuentes Pérez and that of his entire family.

Education and sport

In the category of 'Education / Culture' the recognition will be for the IES La Florida and Salvador Sandoval, for their outstanding educational and cultural work as a result of the dedication and effort of their professionals who build the future of the municipality day by day.

Finally, archers Mónica Puche García and Damián Ordóñez Cabrera will be chosen in the 'Sports' category for their outstanding personal and sports career.

Monica is champion of Spain in the modality of naked arc in the open air (Guijuelo, Salamanca) and naked arc 3D (El Molar, Madrid);

runner-up of Spain in 3D naked arc in the hall (Atarfe -Granada-, 2017);

and bronze in naked arc 3D outdoors (Valencia, 2018).

For his part, Damián -among other merits- is the three-time champion of Spain in standard Spanish archery: in 2007 in Bétera (Valencia) and in 2008 and 2009 in Castejón de Sos (Huesca), tournaments in which champion was also proclaimed by teams with your club.
