The Center for the Elderly of Las Torres de Cotillas was the scene on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 10, of an interesting talk entitled The education of women through copla.
Rosa Peñalver, teacher and former president of the Assembly of the Region of Murcia, starred in this paper, where he reviewed the customs of the generations of the first half of the twentieth century and emphasized the social burden of these musical compositions in the female collective.
This activity was celebrated on the occasion of the events to commemorate the International Day for Women's Rights and World Peace organized by the Department of Equality, and was attended by Mayor Joaquín Vela Fernández and the mayor of the María del Mar Ruiz area Rosillo
