Next start of work on the new roundabout to improve access to the industrial estate of Las Torres de Cotillas (11/03/2016)

The Minister of Public Works and Infrastructures, Francisco Barnabas, went today to the RM-B37 road which soon will begin the construction of a new roundabout that will connect this way with the avenue Agustin Fuentes, leading to an improvement of access to the polygon Industrial Towers Cotillas.

Barnabas, accompanied by the mayor of Las Torres de Cotillas, Domingo Coronado, and the president of the logistics company Grupo Fuentes, Agustin Fuentes, visited the site where construction projects and met on the ground the benefits the new roundabout will report to traffic flowing through the area.

The new roundabout will improve traffic conditions in more than 75,000 HGV movements are recorded annually in this area.

These vehicles carry out commercial operations in that industrial estate, where they have their main logistics space companies like supermarket chain supply Consum, which has a center that generates more than 2,000 direct and indirect jobs, and the carrier Augustine Fuentes, who has a fleet of almost 1,300 vehicles, including their own autonomous, who regularly work with them.

The rotunda, which will have a budget of 248,330 euros, will have two lanes four meters wide, which will absorb up to twice the traffic currently passes through the RM-B37 pathway, which has two lanes, one in each direction, and two-lane service.
