The Council of Physical Activity and Sports of Las Torres de Cotillas begins tomorrow Wednesday November 9 (from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.) a new course on prevention of sudden death using the Automatic External Defibrillator (DEA).

A completely free activity that will be provided by the Civil Protection services in its facilities, which will have a second day the next day at the same time and will be completed with training on cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

"After the course we have recently done for the staff of the City Council, it is now directed to sports monitors of associations and schools in the municipality, which will receive their corresponding official certificate," explains the councilor of the area, Ginés Pérez Iniesta.

The municipality already has four of these devices after the last acquisition last August: two that are installed in the Municipal Sports Center and the "Sport Group Las Torres" sports center, and two others in possession of the local Civil Protection body , That transfer to all the acts that are organized in the locality.

"With the implementation of defibrillators and training courses we try to prevent and prevent sudden death among our athletes, a reality that unfortunately happens," says Pérez Iniesta.

"In addition we will join a new regional campaign, called 'Field Captain's Project', for the implantation of more defibrillators", emphasizes the mayor.
