Torre Plazas Alberto has once again proclaimed champion of "Running Mountain 2015/16", the mountain racing circuit organized by the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia.
"Alberto is a specialist in the background events and was the winner last year in the first edition of this championship," explains the Councilor of Physical Activity and Sports of Cotillas Torres, Ginés Pérez.
The Torreño was the best in the absolute men's section after the dispute of the 13 tests programmed in the circuit, adding a total of 13 points after accounting for the six best scores of each participant and ahead of Antonio Ruiz and Raúl Bastida.
In addition, Squares also prevailed in the Veterans A category as it did last year as a senior.
"It is a very hard circuit as it shows that only 43 athletes completed the minimum of six stipulated tests", emphasizes the mayor.
In the women's section Esther Sánchez ( "Mandarache Cartagena") was imposed, ahead of Mª José Hernández and Marta Sánchez.
The best will be recognized next December 16 at the gala that will take place at the Educational Center "Los Olivos" (Molina de Segura).
