The Council of Social Services of Las Torres de Cotillas, as head of the "School Absenteeism Program" of the municipality, held on Tuesday 8 November in the local Consistory a new meeting of the municipal commission against absenteeism and school dropout.

"We deal with issues related to prevention and intervention in school absenteeism, among which the report on the presentation and approval of the 'Municipal Plan against School Absenteeism', which will soon be displayed on the municipal website," explains The councilor of the area, Maria Dolores Sánchez, who was accompanied by education aides, Pedro Cabrera, and Citizen Security, Gloria Fernandez.

Also attending this meeting were the technical advisor on diversity teaching linked to the "Regional Program for Prevention, Monitoring and Control of School Absenteeism and Reduction of School Abandonment" (PRAE), responsible for Molina's educational and psychopedagogical guidance team. Segura, the primary and secondary inspectors of the Ministry of Education, all directors of the Torreño and PTSC schools linked to the HEIs "Salvador Sandoval" and "La Florida".

This commission, created in 2013 as a result of the collaboration of the Department of Social Services Torreña with the Ministry of Education, aims to prevent absenteeism and school dropout from an interdisciplinary perspective.
