Today Friday 25 November is the "International Day Against Gender Violence" and the Council of Equality of Las Torres de Cotillas has held this morning a day of awareness in the weekly market of the municipality.
There she has installed an information stand where, in addition, the professionals of the Center for the Care of Women Victims of Gender Violence (CAVI) and staff of the Department have distributed the commemorative lilas ties of this day.
"We have also placed a large lilac ribbon on the facade of the City Hall to remember this date," explains the mayor of the area, Maria Dolores Sánchez, who has also participated in this activity.
But the events to commemorate this day do not end here, since on Sunday November 27 will be held the "II March against gender violence" (10'30 hours) with departure from Adolfo Suarez Square and a tour adapted to all Ages of 4.5 kilometers.
With the collaboration of the association "Jacaranda", the participants - who will receive a gift - can do it on skates or walking and has set a donation of two euros that will be used to raise the benefit of the Association of Men for Gender Equality ( AHIGE) and for the Network of Centers of Specialized Care for Women Victims of Gender Violence.
As a colophon two sports exhibitions will be held: one by parkour by Axel Dupre and another by freestyle skating by the "Roller Queen" school.
