The youth correspondents of the Secondary Education Institutes (IES) 'Salvador Sandoval' and 'La Florida' of Las Torres de Cotillas maintained last week a coordination meeting with the Councilor for Youth, Ginés Pérez, and the person responsible for this program. the General Directorate of Youth, Antonio Córdoba.
In these work meetings, which took place in their respective centers on February 7, also attended the tutors of the two institutes and municipal technical Youth.
"This is a program that this course celebrates its tenth edition and through these students provides young people with access to information on calls, resources and activities that may interest them (such as courses, scholarships, prizes, contests, conferences, helps ...), making use of social networks ", explains the mayor Isabel María Zapata.
The youth correspondents - there are a total of 76 units in a total of 37 municipalities throughout the Region of Murcia - also manage the 'Youth Information Point' through an information panel, as well as detect, collect and transmit the demands and needs of their peers.
"Their role is very important because they are the ones who day after day are in the center, contributing a lot of will, work and sacrifice, and making this exchange of information more dynamic," the councilor points out.
