The Youth Council of Cotillas Towers held between the months of January and February the "Month of the prevention of violence in young people" of the town, a proposal to collaborate Murciana Association Support Abused Children (AMAIM) and the Federation of Associations for the Prevention of Child Abuse (FAPMI), and has support and funding from the Ministry of Health, Social Policy and Equality and the NGO "Intervida".

Activities will begin on Wednesday, January 21 with the training workshop of "The masks of love" aimed at young people aged 14 to 17 years of Secondary School "Salvador Sandoval".

This workshop aims to inculcate knowledge to participants to prevent violence, especially in relationships, and know what to predict risk and thus not involved in violent relationships.

The next meeting will be on Wednesday, January 30 (16 to 20 hours) in the Youth House Torrena that host the free seminar "one in five".

It aims to provide training in child sexual abuse prevention and addresses teachers of kindergarten and first cycle of primary as well as professionals working in the field of children (teachers, facilitators, monitors Leisure ... ), students and other interested persons.

"The seminar's objectives is to promote social awareness so that it can provide children and their families and caregivers of knowledge and tools to prevent and report cases of child sexual abuse," said Councilwoman Youth Torrena Sonia Martinez.

Training for trainers

In addition, 5, 6 and 7 February, the Youth House will host a free training proposal, in this case the training of trainers "Prevention of violence in young people - The mask of love."

It will address the prevention of peer violence and especially in relationships.

Also with 20 seats, is aimed at professionals working with young people and are interested in the subject, and students over 18 who want to expand training in this area.

All sessions will be held in the evening (16 to 20 hours), the registration period ends on 28 January and start training before admitted students should read the novel "The Hell of Marta" Alapont Pascual.
