Isabel Franco, Councilman Celebration of Cotillas Towers, facing third consecutive planning a program of festive activities can make the festivity in honor of the Virgen de la Salceda a crowded meeting point for locals and visitors as players and spectators at a range of events designed to cover the widest range of tastes, audiences and ages.

What's new this year the holidays bring?

The celebrations 2013 Cotillas Towers will have high impact events which, by their novelty and being directed to more neighbors, have high expectations of success.

We can speak of "The Summer Party Maxxima Macrofestival XXL" that on the night of August 30 will delight the audience at the Esplanade Master Don Angel Palazón with a fascinating display of entertainment groups, performances, live vocalists, go-go dancers, stilt walkers, tirafuegos ...

A big party that will add the following night at the same venue and the concert offered "the Cruel", representatives of the best Spanish eighties music.

As news can also highlight other many quotes: the "Night of Salsa" (August 26 at the Municipal Auditorium), the "I Skating Race" (August 28 through the streets of the town), passing through the town of Vuelta a Murcia in Paramotor (August 30), the "First General Knowledge Contest" (August 26 at the House of Culture "Pedro Serna") or "I Tournament Sports Trivial Pursuit" (27 August in the Youth House).

Faced How about preparing festivities in these times of crisis?

With a realistic combination of austerity, managing every last euro to devote to achieve the fullest possible festival program, but also incorporating a lot of ingenuity, enthusiasm and desire to host an event for all ages and ages.

And being consistent with running times of crisis we did not want to miss the opportunity to continue helping the needy, for what will go to Caritas entry for loose joint proposal of heifers.

What the City has allocated budget for the Holidays 2013?

We tried to continue the spending restraint we have been implemented since the crisis began, while maintaining a quality program, with activities for all tastes and all ages.

It has made a quote tailored to the times we are facing, much smaller than other years, because we know that our City Council's priority throughout the year is to allocate economic resources such urgent social initiatives and maintenance of basic services and waived.

Because Councilman Celebrations of course I would like the budget for the holidays were always greater, but as a neighbor and as a municipal official understand that doing the right thing.

Inconsistency would make a general effort that is being done and leave out budget holidays.

No one would understand, and with reason.

From these lines also want to express the gratitude of this Council for the effort that is being made by many torreños to maintain the quality of our Patron, despite the rigors of the crisis we are facing.

I think there are many people and organizations that, in a strong and admirable, they step forward and pitch in pure love for their parties.

From their point of view, what the celebrations torreños attractive offer?

For starters, the participatory nature where each neighbor individually or grouped in associations, clubs and gives their best collaboration, being a spectator and protagonist of parties representing themselves the soul of its people.

A spirit that is primarily seen in the contribution and participation of more than 25 existing clubs in our town.

They are a celebration in themselves capable of gathering thousands of residents and visitors, with clear examples as the parade of floats, the procession and the procession of the patron, the concentration of rocks, Burning Nights of Raspajo and trashing, the offering of fruits and flowers to the Virgen de la Salceda, the release of heifers ...

What acts of the parties would not miss ever?

Both sitting tradition that define our identity as torreños, such as serving as a meeting place for friends and family.

What message do you want to convey to residents and visitors?

Get involved to enjoy a festival that serve to magnify a town and its people.

That disconnect from the routine and plunge into the wide range of proposals and fun designed to be shared happily, to make them one of our best experiences and memories.

In his work of council, what are you most proud of?

In order to develop service work and dedication to the neighbors, can be approached from the proximity and social commitment problems and needs for better resolution.

We are proud to be part of a government team that, over a decade, has made the closeness to citizens and improving their well-being the main reason for a policy that allows you to take the necessary steps to move forward in this difficult period and have hope for the future.
