Back another year to his appointment with the amateur theater "Contest Juan Bath" Torreño (09/03/2015)

The "Contest Amateur Theatre John Bath" Las Torres de Cotillas, which this year celebrates its fourth edition, offered on Friday and Saturday of next October a selection of the best amateur repertoire of our country.

This event, organized once again by the Department of Culture in collaboration with the local theater group "Tejuba" distributed almost 2,000 euros in prize money to be distributed as follows: $ 1,000 for the winner, $ 500 for second place and 200 euros for best actor and another 200 euros for Best Actress.

All these categories mentioned also distributed trophies to the winners trophy and also carry the best actor and supporting actress and best director.

This contest, whose works are represented in the House of Culture "Pedro Serna" was presented on Friday March 6 at the Plenary Hall of the City Torreño by the Councillor for Culture, Gloria Fernandez, director of the group "Tejuba" Joaquin Cantero, and one of his players, Rafael Canovas.

Four groups

"Membership of this contest all the supporters groups of residents speaking in Spanish territory, excluding children's groups," said Cantero, who said that all works must be represented in Castilian.

The deadline for registration ends on June 15 and a selection committee shall elect from among applicants a total of four groups participating groups and two reserves.

"The organization will contribute 300 euros for each participant group travel expenses," said Fernandez, who said that "the award ceremony will take place Saturday November 7 at the House of Culture".
