Approved the reduction of 72,000 euros in the salaries of councilors torreños (28/07/2015)

The City of Las Torres de Cotillas held on the evening of Monday July 27th ordinary plenary session in which the remuneration of councilors for this term were approved.

A model proposed by Citizens assignments and was approved by majority with the votes in favor of the municipal group and the Popular Party (PP), and stand against PSOE and change Torres.

Thus, the total annual resources allocated to the salaries of councilors will be 165,000 euros, which is less than EUR 72,000 (38%) compared to the established in 2011 when the previous legislature began.

"After several attempts to approve the remuneration of councilors this model comes from the fruit of consensus with citizens, which can be a starting point for future decisions that benefit our neighbors," says the mayor, Domingo Coronado.

The approved proposal provides for the Department of Public Safety and Civil Protection, Finance, Personal one-time 40 hours a week with an annual gross salary of 32,500 euros.

After three Councillors with a commitment of 35 hours per week (87'50%) to which you have been assigned 28.437'50 gross per year to each: Internal Affairs, Planning, Architecture and Housing and Education;

Physical Activity, Sport and Youth;

Agriculture and Water, Public Domain, Culture, Tourism, hamlets and Employment.

20 hours per week (50%) will be the dedication of the Department of Health and Environment, City Maintenance, Public Services and Transport, Industry, Commerce and Consumer Affairs, with an annual gross salary of 16,250 euros.

In addition to the Department of Social Services and Equality dedication will be 19 hours per week (47'50%) by 15.437'50 gross per year.

Finally, for the Department of Citizenship, Immigration and Celebrations dedication will be 19 hours per week (47'50%) and a gross salary of 15.437'50 euros.

In addition, council members or part-time without compensation receive EUR 180 for attendance at each plenary session and Local Government, as they receive 100 euros for attending each meeting of Advisory Committees.

Also, local groups will have a fixed component of EUR 1,000 and a variable of 100 euros per councilor.

New branches and changes in the popular group

Furthermore, in this session the mayor, Domingo Coronado, unveiled the new reorganization of the municipal offices, which are as follows:

- Angel Gonzalez: Safety and Civil Protection, Finance, and Personnel.

- Pedro Cabrera: Internal Affairs, Urban Development, Housing and Architecture, and Education.

- Inmaculada Fernández: Health and Environment, City Maintenance, Public Services and Transport, Industry, Commerce and Consumer Affairs.

- Gines Perez: Athletics and exercise, and Youth.

- Amalia Perez: Citizenship, Immigration and Celebration.

- Maria Isabel Zapata Agriculture and Water, Public Domain, Culture, Tourism, hamlets and Employment.

- Maria Dolores Sanchez: Social Services and Equality.

Among other things, this city also became known movements in the Municipal Group PP: first, Maria Dolores Sanchez took up his act occupying the position of Maria Isabel Hernandez, who since his resignation at its plenary Thursday June 2;

on the other, Alfonso Sandoval resigned as mayor, in whose place will be replaced by Pedro José Noguera.
