On the night of Sunday April 8, Ash Wednesday, the Torreño lived one of the most ceremonious events of Holy Week, with the Procession of Silence and Stations of the Cross.
In charge of the Nazarenes of the Brotherhood of the Holy Christ Crucified, who wear black robes, the parade made the usual route of the processions Torrena (out of the Church of La Salceda Fernández Jara street, Calle Reyes Católicos, Field Street, street Mula, Main Street and back to the temple).
With a mass Lord's Supper in the two parishes Torrena (of Our Lady of Salceda and Our Lady of the Assumption in the pulpits) will be held today, April 9, Maundy Thursday, also seen in both temples commemorating Holy Hour (22'30 hours.)
The very early start Friday with the procession to Calvary (8.30 hours), in which the river of colors that make up the eight fraternities with their respective Torrena-steps-will commemorate the Passion of Christ.
This procession, perhaps the most popular in the city, opens the image of San Pedro (in the brotherhood of the Risen Christ and St. Peter) and closes the Virgen de los Dolores (holder of the confraternity of the same name).
The parade will warm up the engines for the celebration of the Passion and Death of the Lord in the church from the pulpits (17:30 pm), an event that will also take place half an hour later in the temple of La Salceda.
At night (21 hours) Torrena streets will witness the procession of the Burial of Christ.
The gravity of the Easter Torrena is concentrated in this parade, which each year has more popular support.
Also starring the eight fraternities Torrena, opens the Pieta, head of the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Mercy, and closes the Virgen de la Soledad, the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Sorrows.
Meeting multitudinous
The Easter Vigil will be starring in both parishes on April 11, Holy Saturday, at 22 am in La Salceda and 23 hours in the pulpits.
Come a day after Easter Sunday, which begins early in the morning with Mass in the Parish of Our Lady of Salceda (8.30 hours) and 9:30 hours to live the traditional, colorful, and massive act of Meeting ( with its popular caramel) and Procession of the Resurrection.
The joy of the Resurrection of Christ will live in the streets Torrena the eight guilds of the town, in a parade this year has released a new image that carries the Confraternity of the Holy Christ of the Flagellation, the "Apparition of the Risen Christ to Saint Thomas , dedicated on March 7.
A Mass to be held at 11 am in the parish of Our Lady of the Assumption of the pulpit will finish acts by Easter 2009 in Las Torres de Cotillas.
