Las Torres de Cotillas once again enjoyed jazz a lot more thanks to a new edition of the 'Cotijazz' festival, which last weekend celebrated its ninth edition with various free activities for all audiences.
"This festival had a special point, since it honored three jazz players such as Miguel Serna, Margot Cortés and Manuel Salido who are sadly no longer with us," explains Councilor for Culture Pedro Cabrera, whose area collaborated in the organization of the festival with the association 'Cotijazz'.
The program began on Saturday April 28 with a double appointment at the House of Culture 'Pedro Serna': first a master-class and then a concert where the 'Juan Pablo BalcázarQuartet' offered an immersion in Colombian popular music.
On Sunday, April 29, the Constitution Park was the scene of two activities: a free lindy hop dance classes and a concert by 'The Swing Notes' that became a whole swing party.
To conclude, the group 'Jazzmirrorway' starred in a concert at the House of Culture, in which he proposed the interpretation of one of the great Funky music groups such as 'Jamiroquai' from the perspective of the jazz musician.
"It is a joy to see how the public supports this festival and enjoys its proposals, the concerts have had a large influx of spectators and the dance class was a real party for people of all ages," says Mayor Isabel María Zapata, for whom this event is already well established in Murcia's music scene.
