The band of Las Torres de Cotillas will celebrate the 700th anniversary as mayorazgo of the municipality as the best know-how: offering concerts.
And it will do so for the various neighborhoods and districts of Torrena, as a tribute to the people and their neighbors in a proposal organized by the Department of Culture and the association 'Friends of Music of Las Torres de Cotillas'.
A cycle of performances with free admission that was presented yesterday May 2 at the local City Hall by the mayor Isabel María Zapata, the official chronicler of the village Ricardo Montes, the director of the music band José Ángel Palazón and the children's band director Pablo Rodríguez.
Florida will enjoy the repertoire of the Torrena band on May 18 (21 hours), while Los Pulpites will do the same on May 19 (20 hours).
The shift of La Loma will be on May 25 (21 hours), the neighborhood of Carmen on June 17 (21 hours) and San Pedro on June 30 (21 hours).
"This round of concerts, which will once again show the great level of our musicians, has already begun on May 1 at the La Cruz festivities," says Zapata,
This commemoration, which has the motto '1318-2018, from Qutiyyas to Las Torres de Cotillas', is already being worked by the local City Council.
"Various cultural proposals have been proposed, such as conferences and publications on local history, twinnings, concerts, exhibitions of Torreño artists ...", explains the mayor.
