The Cabildo Superior de Cofradias of Las Torres de Cotillas has agreed to request the Cultural Ministry the status of Cultural Interest (BIC) of the Region of Murcia for the diorama of the Passion of Christ located in its permanent exhibition.
"We understand that it is a unique and unique sample in the area of ​​our land Murcia, and that is one of the main hallmarks of the town," point from the entity Torrena.
"It is an authentic artistic jewel, a pioneering project in the Region that was born three years ago and that has municipal support, thanks to the cession of the facilities and many of the figures on display," explains the Mayoress Torrena Isabel María Zapata, which highlights that it is a heritage of extraordinary value which should enhance its conservation, enrichment and dissemination
Three new scenes
This assembly, located in the sample of the local Holy Week that is in the old Town Hall, premiered last January three new scenes: the Last Supper, the triumphal entry into Jerusalem and the wedding of Canaan.
These are added to existing ones, which reflect other passages such as the Via Dolorosa, the crucifixion or the resurrection, in an exhibition that can be visited free of charge (prior phone reservation to 672.532.680).
"It is an initiative in which we are very excited, people are responding phenomenally and we continue working to expand it with new passages," they indicate from the Cabildo.
