The trovera association 'José María Marín', on the occasion of the campaign of the 'Trovo in schools', offered on Tuesday May 15 a demonstration at the House of Culture 'Pedro Serna' Las Torres de Cotillas aimed at schoolchildren of the location.
"It is a commitment to this tradition so little known in our region, with which students know a little more and have fun actively participating with troveros", explains the councilor of Culture Pedro Cabrera, who was present at this activity sponsored by the Regional Assembly and that counted on the collaboration of the local City Council.
Students and trovers interacted this morning to promote the cultural tradition, delving into this ancestral practice.
The principles of this art, which combines singing and poetry, were explained to young people, and they were invited to contribute ideas to make some pieces.
"It is important to promote among our youth the folklore and the customs of our land," says Cabrera.
This proposal was led by Juan Santos 'el Baranda', Juan José García and Ángel Herrero on guitar.
"It is a way for the trovo to continue to live, awakening in the young people a great interest and enthusiasm for this modality of making improvised poetry, which until now they were all ignorant," explains García, who is president of the aforementioned association.
