So far a score of criminal acts have been clarified
In the record practiced, a large number of objects and stolen vehicles have been seized
The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the operation 'TOBALO', an investigation aimed at clarifying a series of crimes against property, which has resulted in the arrest of two young and dangerous criminals in Las Torres de Cotillas, that the alleged authorship of a score of crimes is attributed to them.
La Benemérita started the operation last April, when an increase in the number of robberies with force was detected in things in establishments and companies of Las Torres de Cotillas and Sangonera la Seca-Murcia, as well as a considerable number of cases of subtraction of vehicles, many of them abandoned and subsequently burned.
The first investigations allowed to establish the connection between the different crimes and to verify the existence of delinquents with a high degree of professional professionalism after their authorship.
The modus operandi used to develop criminal activity consisted, first of all, in the theft of a vehicle subsequently used to materialize the robberies in order to, in case of being caught, avoid being identified.
Later and with nocturnal, presumably, they entered the establishments and companies using force, usually by breaking doors, windows or even moon landings, to finally remove from the place all the objects they considered valuable, such as computer equipment, mobile phones, televisions and recreational machines and tobacco vending machines.
Their criminal activity culminated in abandoning the vehicles used in the robberies and calcining them, apparently to avoid possible obtaining incriminating evidence.
At the same moment, another vehicle was stolen to travel to his residence and use it in future criminal acts.
In addition to the robberies with force, the now arrested also denoted a violent character, that was made notice in two occasions with the commission of two crimes of attack to agents of the authority.
On the first occasion they were surprised while committing a robbery in a restaurant in the Guadalentín region.
Alerted by the owner of the place, the Civil Guard initiated a persecution for several kilometers until, when being cornered by the agents, the thieves rammed their vehicle into the Traffic Patrol of the Benemérita, undertaking the flight again, burning the car used and finally stealing a new one after attacking its owner.
The second case developed in a similar way to the previous one.
During the commission of a robbery in the town of Pilar de la Horadada, they were surprised and in this case they also fled.
The Local Police initiated a persecution that resulted in several attacks of the vehicle pursued, which was finally abandoned and stolen another to continue the flight.
After several weeks of investigation, the civil guards managed to fix the residence of the suspects in Las Torres de Cotillas, where, after judicial authorization, the entry and registration of their domicile was made, in which computer equipment was seized (computers laptops and printers), electronic devices (mobile phones, DVD player, music equipment, televisions), large amount of stolen tools and four vehicles.
The exploitation phase of the operation, composed of fifty civil guards of Citizen Security and Judicial Police, has resulted in the arrest of the two suspects, as alleged perpetrators of a score of crimes of theft with force in things, robbery with violence and intimidation, assault on an agent of authority, theft and theft of vehicles and damages.
Entry in prison of the arrested
The Moroccan detainees, aged 21 and 22, living in Las Torres de Cotillas and with a history of similar crimes, the effects seized and the proceedings ordered have been made available to the Court of Instruction number 3 of Molina de Segura (Murcia), who has exercised the judicial direction of the operation and who has decreed the entry into prison of those arrested.
