The storytelling season of the municipal library 'Rosa Contreras' of Las Torres de Cotillas is dismissed until September.
Next Wednesday May 23 (17 hours) will be the last edition before the summer of this free proposal that takes place twice a month in the children's room of these municipal facilities.
"It is a family activity, since after the storytelling a handicraft is elaborated with the help of the adults who come with the children", explains the mayor Isabel María Zapata.
"We have had a positive response from the users, which has been reflected in the increase in visits to the facilities and the addition of new users to the service," they indicate from the Torrena library.
Extension program
In addition, this year to celebrate the 'Day of the Book' has begun a program of library extension during April.
"It has consisted of storytelling workshops and talks in all schools and children's centers in the town to encourage reading habits in children from 0 to 6 years," reports the councilor for Culture, Pedro Cabrera, whose area collaborates in these storytelling , which last approximately half an hour.
