The 'Rincón Pulpitero' club of Las Torres de Cotillas once again organizes its' Romería and Feria Rociera ', which this year celebrates its 26th edition and for which it has the collaboration of the local council and the association' Friends of the Horse of Las Torres de Cotillas'.
An event that was presented last Wednesday May 23 at the Torreño City Council by the mayor Isabel María Zapata, the Culture Councilor Pedro Cabrera, the president of Torreña peña Carmen María Martínez and the president of the association of 'Friends of the Horse' José María Molina.
The program of activities will begin with the sixth edition of the Sevillanas free intensive course, which will take place from Monday, May 28 to Wednesday, May 30 (7:30 pm).
On Friday, June 1, there will be the opening of the Los Pulpites (21 hours), in an act that will also open the barracks and there will be children's attractions.
In addition, the rociero festival will take place with performances by the group of sevillanas de la peña and the dance academy 'Víctor Campos' (21:30 hours) and the performance of the musical group 'Caramelo' (23:30 hours).
More activities
On Saturday June 2 will be a day full of activities, which will start with happy hour (12 hours).
At 5:30 pm the pilgrimage will depart for the church of La Salceda, where the "Paloma Blanca" will be presented to the patron saint Torrena in an act where the band of cornets and drums 'Nuestra Señora de la Piedad' will perform the salve rociera .
The church of the Assumption will be the scene of a mass (19:30 hours) and the activities will then move to the fairground, which will host the proclamation by the poet Carmen Montero (20:30 hours) and the 'XXVI Night Rociera' (21'30 hours), with the performance of the groups 'Alameda del Rincón' and 'Al Olé' of Murcia, and a tasting of donuts at the end.
To close this event on Sunday, June 3, there will be a children's pilgrimage through the neighborhood of Los Pulpites (11 hours), a championship of launching corners and throwing olive bone (12:30 pm) and a paella tasting (14 '30 hours).
