The band of Las Torres de Cotillas continues to celebrate the 700th anniversary as mayorrazgo of the municipality with a round of free concerts by the municipality.
Thus, on the night of last Friday, May 25, the Torreño musicians performed at the neighborhood center 'Joaquín Fernández Vicente' in the Torreña hamlet of La Loma, offering a varied sample of their repertoire.
These performances began on May 1 at the parties of La Cruz and continued on the night of Friday, May 18 with a performance on the sports courts of the neighborhood of La Florida.
In addition, the local band also performed on May 19 in the park next to the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption of The Pulpites.
More concerts
This cycle of recitals with free admission is organized by the Department of Culture and the association 'Friends of Music of Las Torres de Cotillas' and the following concerts will be in the neighborhood of Carmen on June 17 (21 hours) and in the San Pedro on June 30 (21 hours).
This commemoration, which has the motto '1318-2018, from Qutiyyas to Las Torres de Cotillas', is already being worked by the local City Council.
"Various cultural proposals have been proposed, such as conferences and publications on local history, twinnings, concerts, exhibitions of Torreño artists ...", explains the mayor Isabel María Zapata.
