This past weekend Las Torres de Cotillas enjoyed the first edition of the 'Manga Towers' show, an event that made the municipality the comic capital for a few days.
With the municipal sports center as a stage, this room began on Friday June 1 and closed its doors on Sunday June 3 focusing on the world of manga and proposing about 300 activities for all tastes.
"We are very happy for the result of this event, which has passed some 5,000 people of all ages over the three days, despite the rainy weather we suffered those days," explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata , who visited the room with the Councilor for Youth, Ginés Pérez, who highlighted "the great acceptance of the attending public".
More activities
Directed by Tony Fernández and coordinated by Yolanda Castaño, the 'Manga Towers' offered a videogame zone, talks, DJ's, concerts, martial arts exhibitions, cartoonists and guest dubbing actors, iconic cars of films and series, thematic parades, workshops, board games, contests, shopping areas ... "One of the most attractive proposals was the presence of very popular cartoonists of this world, among which we could see Salva Espín, from 'Deadpool', or Dani Gove and Jate, from 'El Thursday '", says Pérez.
"Despite the problems that the rain gave us throughout the weekend, we celebrated a great hall, without any incident, and all thanks to the fantastic team we have," says Fernández, who wants to "thank the volunteers, who were coordinated by Moisés Hosain, the guests, the sponsors, the teacher Lee of the hapkido school, etc. ".
The event, organized by the company 'Todo por el Manga' and with the collaboration of the Councilors for Youth and Physical Activity and Sports, and the Heritage, offered many more activities, such as virtual reality experiences, laser tag competitions, karaoke , etc.
