The 'Rincón Pulpitero' club of Las Torres de Cotillas celebrated last weekend its 'Romería and Feria Rociera', which this year celebrated its 26th edition and for what counted as every year with the collaboration of the local council and the Association 'Friends of the Horse of Las Torres de Cotillas'.
A meeting that started on the night of Friday, June 1, with the inauguration of the Los Pulpites site, which was run by Mayor Isabel María Zapata at an event in which the barrack was also opened and there were children's attractions.
In addition, the rociero festival took place with performances by the group of sevillanas de la peña and the dance academy 'Víctor Campos', and the musical group 'Caramelo'.
On Saturday, June 2 was a day full of activities, which began at noon with happy hour.
In the afternoon, the pilgrimage to the church of La Salceda was held, where the patron saint Torrena was presented to the 'Blanca Paloma' in an act where the band of cornets and drums 'Nuestra Señora de la Piedad' performed the salve rociera.
The church of the Assumption was later the scene of a mass and the activities were moved to the fairground, which hosted the proclamation by the poet Carmen Montero and the 'XXVI Rociera Night', with the performance of the groups 'Alameda del Rincón' and 'Al Olé' from Murcia, and a tasting of donuts at the end.
To close this event on Sunday, June 3, a children's pilgrimage was held in the neighborhood of Los Pulpites mid-morning, a championship of launching corners and throwing olive bone and a tasting of paella as a culmination at lunchtime.
