The meeting of Las Torres de Cotillas of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) held on Friday June 8 a fundraiser in the weekly market of the municipality, an initiative that has received the visit of the mayor, Isabel María Zapata.
"On the occasion of the 'Cuestación Day' we have gone out to inform our neighbors about this disease and the work we do to fight against it, as well as to ask for their help," explains its president, Amalia Pérez.
The research is helping the survival of patients with cancer to increase continuously and is close to 60% of all diagnoses.
"The AECC attends each year to almost half a million people in our country with its support and accompaniment programs," says Pérez, who recalls that prevention is the best way to combat this disease.
