The municipal library 'Rosa Contreras' of Las Torres de Cotillas has closed the first edition of its youth reading club a few days ago.
Coordinated by Miriam Oller monitor, the young participants in this initiative with free assistance met every 15 days to choose readings and comment.
"We are very happy with the acceptance and the result of this activity, that this course has been started and that it will be resumed in September after the summer holidays", points out the Councilor for Culture, Pedro Cabrera.
Other activities
In addition, the Torrena municipal library has other projects underway, such as children's storytellers (who will also return in September) or the user insertion program of the Association of Families and Mentally Ill of Murcia (AFES) thanks to an agreement with the Consistory local.
Also, the library 'Rosa Contreras' has been distinguished for the second year in a row in the 'María Moliner' awards for reading animation, granted by the Ministry of Culture.
"It has been thanks to his project of animation to reading 'Integrad @ s', which also affects programs of reinforcement and increased integration of minority groups susceptible to social exclusion," explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, who highlights the dynamism of the team that works in this municipal facility.
