The theater group 'Tejuba' from Las Torres de Cotillas once again became a prophet on their land.
On this occasion it was with the new work of his repertoire, 'La zapatera prodigiosa' by Federico García Lorca, who represented for the second time at the Casa de la Cultura 'Pedro Serna' of the municipality on Saturday June 16.
"The past March 24 premiered and was so full that many people were left without seeing it, so they have made a second representation also with free admission", explains the Councilor for Culture, Pedro Cabrera, which highlights "the great love that you have this group in the locality. "
Released in 1930, in 'La zapatera prodigiosa' the immortal Federico García Lorca offers a work with a classic profile inspired by the feminine spirit.
Little by little the story shows the struggle of the protagonist - married in a marriage of convenience - in which she is torn between her reality and her true desires.
'La zapatera prodigiosa' will be the one selected by the Torreño group in 2019 to present at all its appointments.
"It is a work that for more than 20 years has been several times in portfolio and we have not been able to represent", explains its director Joaquín Cantero, who notes that 'La Casa de Bernarda Alba' is a work of his catalog and after that montage wanted to "represent something lighter and fun of the great author from Granada".
This group has more than half a century of history - it was born in 1966 under the direction of the longed-for Juan Baño - and behind it has a repertoire of over 40 works.
