The managing director of the Murciano Institute of Social Action (IMAS), Veronica Lopez, and the mayor of Las Torres de Cotillas, Isabel Maria Zapata, presided over Tuesday, June 19, the closing ceremony of the employability project developed by the association 'Columbares' in the Vega Media.
Under the motto 'PUT UP, Get involved!', This initiative aimed to facilitate access to the world of work for people over 30 at risk of social exclusion in the municipalities of Vega Media.
"It is a project in which, in addition to ours, the municipalities of Molina de Segura, Alguazas, Ceutí and Lorquí have collaborated," explains Zapata, who reports that "of the hundred or so participants 65% were from Las Torres de Cotillas" .
At the event, which also had the assistance of the director of 'Columbares', Rosa Cano, the beneficiaries of this program received their accreditation diploma.
Among the actions that are integrated into the project include the development of individualized insertion itineraries, comprehensive social care, individuality employment guidance or training workshops (computer, pre-employment training, social skills and equal opportunities ...).
To find a job
Among the most outstanding actions was developed from February to May the course 'Cleaning of surfaces and furniture in buildings and premises', with the participation of 15 students in the municipal training center 'La Media Legua'.
"To date 6 of its participants have found employment, which shows the usefulness of this type of project," says Zapata, who notes that "20 other users have obtained a job, including three with public employment."
This program is financed by the European Social Fund by 80% and co-financed by the regional government by 20% through the 'Operational Program 2014-20'.
