On the afternoon of Saturday, June 23, the band of Las Torres de Cotillas offered a new free concert to celebrate the 700th anniversary as mayorrazgo of the municipality.
This performance, in which the local musicians offered a varied sample of their repertoire, took place at the gates of the neighborhood center of the Carmen neighborhood.
"This cycle of performances with free admission has already gone through La Cruz, La Florida, Los Pulpites and La Loma", explains the councilman of Culture, Pedro Cabrera, whose area collaborates in this activity with the association 'Friends of Music of Las Torres de Cotillas'.
"The next appointment, which will be the last, will take place in the neighborhood of San Pedro on Saturday, June 30 at 9:00 p.m.," says the mayor.
Other activities
This commemoration, which has the motto '1318-2018, from Qutiyyas to Las Torres de Cotillas', is already being worked by the local City Council.
"Various cultural proposals have been proposed, such as conferences and publications on local history, twinnings, concerts, exhibitions of Torreño artists ...", explains the mayor Isabel María Zapata.
