The Torreño goalkeeper Damián Ordóñez won the silver medal in the Spanish championship in recurve bow in veterans category, which was played in Valdepeñas (Ciudad Real) on June 23.
In this event, organized by the Royal Spanish Federation of Archery (RFETA) and that counted more than 40 participants, the Canary Carlos Luis Pey won with 1,256 points, which he accompanied on the podium Ordóñez (1,229) and the Asturian Juan Jesús Alonso (1.213).
"This is not the first time that Damián has achieved a great result at the national level, since on several occasions he has been proclaimed individual Spain champion in the standard series of Spanish bow", indicates Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Ginés Pérez, he points out that he has also been territorial champion.
"Damián has been giving us years of joy and his desire to continue competing leads him to achieve new challenges in each competition, demonstrating that his talent as an athlete is immense", explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, who remembers that the Torreño goalkeeper has a street with your name in the municipality.
