The president of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS), Mario Urrea, met this morning with the mayor of Las Torres de Cotillas, Isabel Maria Zapata, and his team to address the problem of punctual spills to the river Segura in its path by the municipality.

The municipal government has asked the basin organization for advice on the project of a storm tank whose objective is to stop spills to the riverbed during episodes of storms.

The president of the CHS has transmitted to the mayor of Las Torres de Cotillas that they will work with the City Council in the framework of due collaboration between administrations and with institutional loyalty in order to improve the environmental status of the Segura river.
