José Orosia (Infant) and María Dolores Fernández (Primary), among the 16 Murcia educators selected for these prestigious awards
Two professors from the 'Divino Maestro' school in Las Torres de Cotillas have been nominated for best teacher at the prestigious national 'Educa Abanca 2018' awards.
This is Francisco José Orosia, Early Childhood Education, and María Dolores Fernández, Primary Education, who were received on Monday October 1 - along with the other 14 Murcia teachers selected by the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Adela Martínez-Cachá.
"These awards highlight the figure of the good teacher and are characterized because the candidates of the professors are proposed by their own students", highlights the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, who wanted to congratulate both "for this recognition of their involvement in the process of teaching his students ".
Six aspects
The jury will assess six aspects to score the teachers: the teaching quality and the satisfaction of the students;
the projection of the teacher in society;
research and knowledge transfer;
the training and recycling of knowledge;
the transmission of values ​​and the innovation and use of ICT.
The 10 finalists of this edition, which have been submitted almost 1,900 proposals, will be known on January 10 during the 'II World Congress of Education' and the prizes will be delivered during the celebration of 'Educa 2019', to be held from 21 to 23 February in Santiago de Compostela.
