Torreño schoolchildren will compete in the 'Mathematics Laboratory' mode thanks to the work 'Buscando a Pitágoras', a set of activities organized around the findings of the well-known mathematician.
"This project was carried out last year and was directed by the teacher of the Iria Vidal mathematics department", explains the Councilor for Education, Pedro Cabrera, who recalls that the Torreño City Council has paid the cost of traveling by bus to Catalan lands.
The contest is organized, among others, by the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry (RSEQ), the Institute of Mathematical Sciences (ICMAT) and the National University of Distance Education (UNED).
