The regional government will invest about 340,000 euros in Las Torres de Cotillas for the renovation of infrastructures in Jazmín and Tulipanes streets;
and the renovation of sidewalks and reinforcement of the road in eight other urban roads.
This was stated by the Minister of the Presidency, Pedro Rivera, during his visit to the municipality and where he had a meeting with his mayor, Isabel María Zapata, and members of his government team.
Rivera said that "these works aim to improve the quality of life of citizens and make Las Torres de Cotillas a more livable and comfortable place for neighbors."
These actions, which must be tendered before the end of the year, are part of the Regional Government's Cooperation Plan in which it will invest close to 15.5 million for the 41 municipalities with less than 50,000 inhabitants for the 2018-2019 annuities and which aims to improve the infrastructures and basic equipments of the smallest municipalities of the Region.
Likewise, Pedro Rivera visited the works carried out last year, which are part of the same plan, in which about 170,000 euros were invested.
The counselor was able to verify the improvements carried out in basic infrastructures, specifically in the remodeling of pavements and provision of parking on the street Antón Tobalo, main artery of the town, the firm reinforced in half a dozen streets, or the rearrangement of traffic in Bartolomé Ródenas and the prolongation of Río Quípar.

Rivera noted that "the safety of citizens is vital for the regional government, and proof of this is that the Community finances 19 million more than 600 seats of the Local Police every year. Only Madrid and the Region of Murcia collaborate in this way with the local police. "
Specifically, Las Torres de Cotillas receives an investment of 300,000 euros to make the municipality a safer place.
