Last Saturday, October 6, the "Mireia Belmonte" pavilion of Las Torres de Cotillas started its federated badminton competition season in the Region of Murcia.
"We have 122 games in the sub-13, sub-17 and absolute categories, with 85 registered players from all clubs Murcia, in addition to other athletes from the Valencian Community and Albacete," says the councilor of Physical Activity and Sports, Ginés Pérez, who was present at the event.
The competition was held throughout the morning and included free admission for the spectators who wanted to enjoy the event.
"Badminton is a sport very rooted in our town thanks to the club 'Badminton Las Torres', which has many players who, in addition, we are fortunate that they often cheer us up with great results," says the mayor, Isabel María Zapata , which emphasizes that "it is a pride to be able to collaborate in tournaments of this magnitude".
