Another year has been convened the 'Carmen Montero Medina International Poetry Competition', which is in its ninth edition and is once again being organized by the homonymous foundation with the collaboration of Las Torres de Cotillas Town Council.
"This year presents an important novelty, since it has created a call for authors resident in our municipality," explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, who has presided over Tuesday October 9 the presentation ceremony with the cultural director of the foundation, María Ángeles Moragues, and the Councilor for Culture, Pedro Cabrera.
Thus, the international competition establishes a single award endowed with 1,000 euros to the winning work, while the call for neighbors of Las Torres de Cotillas sets a prize of 200 euros, both sponsored by the Department of Culture.
