The Media Legua of Las Torres de Cotillas ended on Sunday, October 7, with a very lively day of its 2018 patron saint festival in honor of San Francisco de Asís.
At noon a mass was celebrated in honor of the patron, and in the early afternoon there was a funny tape race.
After her, the traditional match of singles against married was played as a prelude to the procession of San Francisco de Asís through the streets of the hamlet.
As a climax a great fireworks castle put an end to these festivities.
Some festivities that began on Sunday September 30 with a day of neighborhood coexistence, with food, children's activities, etc., and that continued yesterday, October 2, with the traditional putting of paper and flags, an activity that was enlivened with music and beer .
The festive program proposed on Wednesday, October 3, a series of children's activities organized by the cultural association 'Media Legua' (5:30 pm), such as gymkhana, drawings, etc.
In addition, a pilgrimage was held at night, leaving from the Hermitage and arriving at Mar del Norte street.
And on Thursday, October 4, two activities were held: a children's tournament organized by the cultural association 'Media Legua' and a refreshment for the neighbors enlivened with music.

At the weekend the festive proposals intensified.
On Friday, October 5, the night was very lively: first it was the turn of the boys and girls who starred in the popular night of dances;
then it was the turn of the most traditional music with the night of the copla;
and finally there were discommobile and crumbs.
On Saturday, October 6, it started early with the bicicross circuit organized by 'Lagarto' and 'Excaycon Hnos. Sánchez'.
In the afternoon came the imagination, the laughter and the fantasy of the parade of floats and at night the party followed with an entertaining musical show.
