As every year the Association of Families and Mental Illness of Murcia (AFES) has celebrated the 'World Mental Health Day' in Las Torres de Cotillas, where it has a day center with residence.
It was on Thursday morning, October 11, at the Casa de la Cultura 'Pedro Serna' of the municipality, in an act attended by the Councilor for Social Services, María Dolores Sánchez, and the president of the entity, María Teresa Martínez
The day has had an audiovisual projection, the performance of the AFES choir and a participatory dance between the members of AFES and the TAFAD students of the local IES 'Salvador Sandoval'.
To conclude, we have read a manifesto in favor of awareness in society about positive values associated with mental illness.
"It has been a great day of celebration, which as every year seeks to make visible the situation of people with mental health problems and their families, and publicly claim the rights of this group," explains Sanchez.
