The district of La Florida de Las Torres de Cotillas concluded the festivities in honor of its patron saint, the Virgen del Pilar, on the night of Sunday, October 14.
He did it with the traditional procession with the image of the patron saint through the streets of the neighborhood, which was attended by numerous neighbors, including the mayor, Isabel María Zapata.
At the conclusion of the procession a large fireworks castle was launched, which illuminated the Torrena night to close these festivities that have had their epicenter on the last bridge.
A final day that had begun in the morning with a pilgrimage from the Hermitage to the Church of Our Lady of Salceda, where at midday a Mass was celebrated.
Later, the park next to the festival grounds was the scene of an aperitif and the neighborhood center of a bingo.
Many activities
Some festivities that began last Thursday, October 11, with the proclamation of parties by José Francisco and Mª Inés Sarabia, in an evening attended by the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, and which featured the gala of election of children's queens, shows and raffles.
On Friday, October 12, the day of the patron saint, a mass was celebrated at noon in her honor with an offering of flowers and food, the blessing of those born this year and the musical accompaniment of the 'El Molinico' rock of Alguazas.
Later there was a local aperitif at the door of the Hermitage, while in the afternoon the neighborhood center hosted a bingo and at night came to the sports courts the 'Night of the Barbecue', with meat and beer in charge of the commission.
To close the day, the performances of 'The Rumberos de La Florida' and 'La Nueva Juventud' took place, as well as several raffles.
More celebrationThe activities of Saturday, October 13, began with the tribute to Antonio Sarabia, neighbor of the recently deceased neighborhood.
To remember it, a bicycle ride was celebrated in which the participants decorated their bicycles and disguised themselves.
In the afternoon the children's games with 'Brodguay Performing Arts' (pintacaras, handicrafts, animation ...), where there was also a snack, arrived at the sports courts.
The night was also moved on the sports tracks, with two great dates: the 'Night of the Migas' and the musical performance and show of the great showman José Damián.
