The Center for the Elderly of Las Torres de Cotillas already celebrates a new edition of its 'Cultural Week', which as tradition has begun with the celebration of a mass.
This has been officiated on Monday morning October 22 by the parish priest of the Church of Our Lady of Salceda and has been accompanied by the choir and rondalla downtown.
A morning that also featured a tasting of homemade cakes and sweet wine, and the dry and chess championship.
As a climax to the day this afternoon the users of the center will enjoy the performance of the group 'Con aire de pasodoble' (17 hours).
Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 23, the activities will start with the billiard and petanque championships (9:30 am), while in the afternoon the artistic proposal will be double: the performance of the center's dance group (17 hours) and that of the group 'Corner of the copla' (17'20 hours).
With the championships of domino and chinchón (9'30 hours) will begin the activities of Wednesday, October 24, which will have an afternoon of the most cultural.
At 5:00 pm the theater group of the center will perform the play 'The consultation of Don Melquiades', after which the literacy workshop will speak on the 700th anniversary as the mayorazgo of LasTorres deCotillas.
To top it off, the program also offers performances by the choir, the rondalla and the regional dance group (5:30 pm).
More activities
By Thursday, October 25, two activities are scheduled: at 9:30 p.m. the championship of parchís and at 17 p.m. the performance of the group 'Canela en rama'.
In addition, for Friday October 26 there is a darts championship (9:30 hours) and a family lottery and a trophy (17 hours).
As a culmination to this new 'Cultural Week', on Sunday, October 26 (2:30 pm) there will be a convivial meal at the center to which the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, will attend as guest.
