Tomorrow, Friday, October 26 (9:30 am) the school 'San Jose' of Las Torres de Cotillas will join the school movement against childhood leukemia by organizing the solidary race 'La vuelta al cole' (www.lavueltaalcole. com).
"It is a cooperative and non-competitive test to raise awareness of the problem of childhood leukemia, which increases by 330 new cases every year, in which 2 out of 10 children do not exceed it," says the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, who points out that another of the objectives of the initiative is "to raise funds with which to finance a research grant that will help to continue looking for a cure for this disease".
"The foundation 'Unoentrecienmil' invites for the fourth year to all schools in Spain to organize that day a career with students, teachers and families of the center", explains the councilor for Education, Pedro Cabrera, "and in Las Torres de Cotillas the 'San José' has turned to the cause. "
To participate, each runner will contribute from one euro per registration to put their two cents.
In this edition more than 800 schools will participate throughout the country and their runners will receive a diploma at the end to reward their effort.
