José Orosia (Infant) and María Dolores Fernández (Primary), among the 16 Murcia educators selected for these prestigious awards
The mayor of Las Torres de Cotillas, Isabel María Zapata, visited last Friday 9 November the school 'Divino Maestro' to talk with the two teachers of the center who have been nominated for best teacher in the prestigious national awards 'Educa Abanca 2018' .
It is Francisco José Orosia, of Early Childhood Education, and María Dolores Fernández, of Primary Education, finalists of this contest to which almost 1,900 proposals have been submitted.
"These awards highlight the figure of the good teacher and are characterized by the fact that the candidates of the professors are proposed by their own students", highlights the mayor, who congratulated both of them "for this recognition of their involvement in the teaching process of their student body".
Six aspects
The jury will assess six aspects to score the teachers: the teaching quality and the satisfaction of the students;
the projection of the teacher in society;
research and knowledge transfer;
the training and recycling of knowledge;
the transmission of values ​​and the innovation and use of ICT.
"The winners will be announced on January 10 during the 'II World Congress of Education' and the prizes will be given during the celebration of 'Educa 2019', which will be held from 21 to 23 February in Santiago de Compostela," explains the Councilor for Education, Pedro Cabrera, also present at the visit.
